Relationships





In Male Call Canada (2013), participants indicated the following:

  • 20% were married or partnered to another man
  • 19% were married or partnered to a woman
  • 61% were single, divorced or widowed

 

In 2013, the Huffington Post published an article called “Gay Relationships Mistakes All Couples Should Avoid”:

  1. Open relationships – clearly define, set boundaries and expectations
  2. The Cling-on Factor – try and find balance between quality you time and quality couple time
  3. Communicate, listen, hear and validate what you think you heard, avoid assumptions
  4. Staying in the relationship because it’s comfortable
  5. Make sure to continue (HIV) testing regularly
  6. Don’t shy away from money talks
  7. Continue communicating about sex
